PGDE (English) - Week 1 - Friday(Day 5)

First week is over - finally!

Excellent mix of people from a variety of backgrounds - I've made the right decision.

I drove today - another good decision - and made it home straight after the suprisingly useful ICT workshop. The downloadable 'client' is fairly competent, and I've already started adding 'todos' to the online calendar feature, fretting over (i.e. spending an inordinate amount of time!) the most appropriate colour of electronic 'highlighter' to use per activity category...

PGDE (English) - Week 1 - Thursday (Day 4)

First day in an English-specific tutorial:

English 1 (AM)

Engaged in swapping some interesting ideas with a fellow student (her name escapes me, but she has alovely personality) about the 'power' or allure of the book format...My take on the opportunities surrounding library book

English 2 (PM)

Tutor imparted some steps and 'strategies' for the delivery of a poetry class; the enthused and relaxed performance was just as important as the theory.
